I. Coaching Requirement ONE of TWO - Chester Background Check
A REQUIREMENT of ALL coaches, assistants and head coaches is to complete the Chester Township Police Background Check.
According to the records furnished to the WMSC from the Chester Township Police Department, if you have not completed the Chester Township Police Background Check, you are REQUIRED to complete this procedure before you can be officially assigned as a coach or assistant coach.
If you have already successfully completed the Chester Township Police Background Check (meaning that you believe that their records are in error) please provide us with the documentation.
PLEASE READ: There is NO substitute for the Chester Township Police Background Check. The following are NOT allowed as substitutes: Mendham Little League, State Background Checks, Background Checks for Professional licenses nor the Level "F" License. This is not a WMSC requirement, but a municipal government requirement.
HOW TO GET IT DONE:
1) Go to the State Police website and download the form at the following link:

2) Fill out the form using "Chester Township" as the employer at 1 Parker Road, Chester, NJ 07930
3) Go to the website of the company that conducts the checks:

4) Fill out the online appointment form using the codes from the State Police form.
5) Schedule an appointment, attend the appointment and you are all set.

II. Coaching Requirement TWO of TWO - Rutgers Safety Clinic
A REQUIREMENT of ALL coaches, assistants and head coaches is to complete the Rutgers Safety Clinic.
According to the records furnished to the WMSC from the Rutgers Safety Clinic, if you have not completed this program you are REQUIRED to complete this program before you can be officially assigned as a coach or assistant coach.
If you have already successfully completed the Rutgers Safety Clinic (meaning that you believe that their records are in error) please provide us with the documentation.
There are 3 ways to complete this requirement.
1) Attend the FREE class hosted by WMSC at the Mendham High School on Thursday evening between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM on August 28th.
2) Attend the FREE class hosted by WMSC at the Mendham High School on Thursday evening between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM on September 11th.
3) Attend a class hosted by another town or club. The typical out-of-town fee is $25-$35. Please look to the following website for locations:

PLEASE READ: You MUST be ON TIME. The Rutgers Safety Program requires that you be on time for the session. The Doors to the Mendham High School Auditorium will OPEN at 5:30 PM and will be CLOSED and no one admitted after 6:15 PM. (This is not a WMSC but a Rutgers Rule). Please show up by 6:00 PM for paperwork.
